Talent or not? That is the question...
Susan Boyle I've just watch Susan Boyle's youtube video from Britain's Got Talent show. Wow seriously she can sing and it was a beautiful voice. So far around 100 million people already watch the video and now she is an instant celebrity.
Seriously looking at her appearance you will never thought that she can sing amazingly That show talents come in many different faces and physical. I know a friend who has a little bit of weight but can play sepak takraw and still can do the split on the air, seriously.
What is my hidden talent? So far I can't quite figure out yet, but let me tell you what I can't do:s
1. I can't draw - art and engineering drawing. The highest score for my art is C+. We need to draw "Gotong-royong di sekolah" and I drew this guy stiffly holding a broom and looking at the audience wearing hat. One of my friend commented that is one of the best picture I ever produce. Meaning that I never draw something pretty before. I took Engineering technical drawing in Form 4 & Form 5, I have no choice actually, whether you take engineering subject or accountancy and biology, of course i don't want to surgery with frog. During SPM I lost hope for the subject, and I though whatever happen, happen but thank god that I passed the subject.
2. I can't see 3-D picture - for some reason I'm not able to see 3-d pictures. One of my friends used to have a 3-D book and everybody take turn to borrow the book. When it it is my turn, I can't see a thing, they said there is a pirate ship and all I can see is the pattern. I tried everything like put the book right in front of my eyes and slowly bring it away from my face, not working. Open my eyes as big as I can, na'ah..so I just give-up. I still occasionally try to figure out on how to see the hidden picture still not avail, any tips anyone?
That are some of things that I can't do. I think I'm a average cook, I can cook spaghetti start from scratch not the sous comes from the can. I mean I can start from the minced meat to do the source with the tomatoes. I like to try new recipes but the problem is I'm lazy to cook as it cost more and take sometime too do it than just tapau from the gerai.
I'm good with the machine, paper stuck in the copy machines, both I'm the man, I mean the girl. Anything about Excel, I can do the most of the formulas. I'm an avid map reader. If you are looking for a team mate for Amazing Race, call me plus I can drive manual. But don't ask me how to go back to the previous place as I can arrive the new place based on the printed Google map but sometimes I lost on the way
back from the place. Last time, I went to visit centre in Klang and on the way back I lost and almost reach West Port, I thought there will be a U-turn as I go along but noooo. I only one stop away reaching to the seaside.
I do sing in karaoke as with my student card, I do have to pay less than normal charges. Yes, I'm abusing my student card although I'm not a very good student as my exam is less than 6 days away but I'm happily writing my blog. I should stop now.

Bye bye Grissom

Last night, finally in CSI he annouced that he is leaving. I was so shock. I mean I knew he is leaving the show but still…I found it’s hard to believe. This is one of the only show that I never missed a single episode and still exciting after 9 seasons. Last time, I do watch Lost but seriously I’m kind of lost already. Heroes? well becomes zero to me so I just waited for the marathon and watched them in one day. Although I do watch other 2 CSI but so far the original one is the best. Gil Grissom is my favourite character as well as Greg Sanders.
He is the kind of boss that you’re looking for. He has a lot of wisdom, kind of funny and he is kind of mentor to both Greg and Hodges. He is very serious with his work that make him “politically deaf” as he doesn’t care to suck-up to others and just do his own work. He makes working with corpse and bugs seems so cool. If I don’t have a phobia on blood, I bet I want to become a forensic expert like him.
Of course my favourite episodes featuring the miniature killer, which is chilling and you can’t wait to know who is the miniature killer is. His favourite quote is “dead can’t speak for themselves”. I also like his relationship with Sara Sidle. I think they look cute together. He likes to ride rollercoaster (like I am, after being force, of course) and sensitive if the victim is children or teenagers
I can’t wait to see him for the last time next week. But I guess he leaving the show while he was on top to rekindle with Sara. Boy, I’m sure going to miss his witty sense and his bug knnowledge. So, bye Gil Grissom…hope to see you as guest star in CSI again.

Feel like kicking my a**

It started on Saturday morning, a day before my last class for this semester. I already my law assignment, just waited to be printed. I'm quite happy with it as I though I've done the best that I can. So now what I have to do is to print out Macro home test that my instructor just send out by e-mail at 12am and to do Macro assignment. So, I wondering where do I have to go to pringt both assignmnet and home test? At first I went out to buy my lunch at Bangsar's McDonald. I try to look around there wondering would there a be a printing shop or something but failed. I should have known better as that area is a "bangsar kaya" area not like my place"bangsar mioskin" where you can get a burger for RM 1.50 (used to be RM1) at pasar malam. Of course most people there and laptop and computer with printer. If there "kurang kaya" there will go to Starbucks, buy a cup or two of lattes and use the free wifi. So i thought I just try again at my place. Luckily or( unlucky) for me there's a digital image shop near the 7E that I can print them but it will cost me RM 1 per sheet and mind you it is black and white printing. I though what a heck, I desperate already.

My trip to KK
Well, it has been so long since I updated my blog. Why? Maybe because I'm quite busy nowadays since I better write reports than updating blogs if you know what I mean.
So I've been offered to travel to KK to support new centre, well, at first I quite hesitate as I'm really don't want to give PO to public as I'm quite shy or I would say, "pemalu orangnya" but since this is the only state I've in Malaysia I've never been, I'm thinking what the heck.
Since I'm going alone, I though it would be a great adventures, nevertheless it is. I arrived at KK airport around 10pm and waiting for my luggage for almost 20 minutes. I'm quite worried as it is quite late and I'm a girl and alone. The CSI effect comes to me.
The taxi driver was driving very fast. Seriously, he never stop at the roundabout to peek or something just go through like nobody business. I'm glad I get to the hotel safely.
My hotel situated near the shopping mall and the room is soooooo cold, seriously. It is 22 celcious and it is still cold like in the freezer. My hands felt almost numb as I keep playing solitire on the company laptop which somehow can't connect to the internet.
The staff there quite sweet trying to figure out what is wrong with the connection. He tried to change the network wire, plug-in and plug-out and even take off the connection plug out of the wall and inspected. They never suspect that actually it is the laptop problem which is really frustrating.
I didn't manage to anywhere except to work as I don't know where to go. I did go around the shopping mall, and I would say it is more standard than midvalley and a little bit lower class than The Garden. They do have a free bus to the town and when I tried to register, it is full already. Luckily, because that afternoon it was raining like cats and dogs and for sure I unable to comeback to hotel before going to work.
Overall, it was quite interesting journey. I manage to buy some brooches for my sister, my umi and myself at Pasar Filipino. The crystal there is quite cheap and I wasn't thinking when I purchased the things because they all beautiful although when I get there, no electricity at that place. But it is ok, so I know which crystal that bling the most without the help from the lamp.
I would definetely comes here again to go around town and snorkeling at Sipadan Island. Just need to find a right time and right partner as nowadays everybody save their money for weddinglah or too busy datinglah and all sort of excuse they can thing of.
So, I guess I will updating my blog frequently as I already purchased a new laptop with celcom broadband. I think it is a need as I'm a student now and I can't rely for office to do my assigment (which I never did, honestly).
So, keep on blogging.
P/S: I was quite sad that one of my favourite AI, Megan contestant was out today. She is sooo beautiful and quite unique.

My life as a student

I already started my first degree class on 11 January. I’m still not bonding with my other classmates yet but I think slowly I will. It is great to meet such a middle group of people who wanted to do more for them. Most of my classmates are government worker. Only some work in private sector. For this semester I took 3 subjects with 9 credits. Quite ok I guess but one of the subjects, QMT deals with statistics, it still hard to grab the concept but it is one of my resolutions to get the dean list for my degree. So you will see that I will strive hard for it becomes this study is my choice, I want to do it and it is depends on me, not anybody else. I’m sure I can myself proud. Yay ME!
After that the learning still continues for the whole week with our company project. My company invited the staff from Japan to lecture us about what is my company is all about. In the morning we have briefing, seminars, review and in the afternoon we have centre visit. As my centre is the first centre to be visited, I really don’t know what to expect. I would say it was a little bit disorganized and chaotic with 30 people zooming their cameras on 3 students. Then the next day I was very nervous and try to brave myself, seriously I don’t know what to expect and just try to do the best that I can. When the day progress, you can see that the centre visit becomes more organized and a lot of people understand what they should do know. It was a very tiring week and each morning I prayed that the week will end soon. Is not that I hate it, I do learn a lot during the week and I mean it is for my own good, it just like too much information too handle in a week and I think my brain becomes overload already. But the learning will still continues until May so now I’m I just to face it with open heart and open mind.

Bittersweet Japan
Pre-Japan’s Trip
I was soooo excited in the limo taxi while on the way to go to the airport. When we reach day some of the delegates already arrived. The travel agency asked us to gather the passport and ticket at the counter. Well, I should see the first bad sign, we all waiting like more than 1 hour to get our passport back…even those who handed the passport later, get it fast than us….I quite “BARA” of course. Then when everything is done, it is time for us check-in and waiting for the plane.
In the plane
Well, what I can say that it is cramp and unfortunately, I was sitting beside my colleaque who needs to to go bathroom every hour. She was sitting in the middle, so, it is quite troublesome and of course I can’t sleep at all. I try to watched the”The Mummy 3”movie but I found it quite boring so , I just watched Mamma Mia again, just the song part over and over until all the songs stuck in my head. When I have like a small moment that I can close my eyes, there’s come the food. Well, like malays said” rezeki jangan ditolak” so of course I wake up and eat. So many times.
When we reach at the airport around 7am, everybody went to the ladies room and while waiting for them, it’s picture time.
When we went outside for the bus, it was soooo codl and I didn’t have my winter jacket on as I thought that the bus was parked near our terminal, but I was soooo wrong. Well at least I can feel what was the natural cold all about.
On the way to the hotel, the scenery was beautiful, at first we see like the kampung scenery then change to industrial area. Then come this big yellow building that was beautiful and one of my colleaque say maybe it was a mosque and I said to myself even in Malaysia the mosque was not this big. It turns out to be Disneyland Resort, well my heart was jumping and I really want to go there.
After we reach to the hotel, we planned out to go out as quickly as possible. Although I was on duty to take care some of instructors, but the manual said it started on the next day, so no work for today. I was quite late as I need to get a handphone from the desk for the communication with the management. Yeah only 3G handphone can be use in Japan. The handphone was really cool. Too bad I can’t take it home with me.
It’s about 15 of us when out and our first destination is Shibuya. Why I want to go there? Because the place look is one of busiest streets in the world. It’s look like Times Square in New York. Then we separate into 3 groups and went to our own way and try to come back 1 hour later. Actually there is nothing new for the place, just more on shooping places.
After lepak there waiting for another group, we went to Asakusa. This place is to buy like Japanese cultural thingi like Central Market. The journey is quite long because it was the end of Ginza Line. Some of us took this opportunity to sleep. When we reach there, the weather was great. It’s a beautiful places but the prices my god, it is sooo expensive. I only bought a Japanese handwriiten cap for my brother. It took me like one hour to finally to brave myself to buy the cap because I can’t find the cap cheaper than that. I use my Japanese words like” Ikura des ka?” (How much it is?) for the first time.
We are supposed to meet at the entrance after 2 hours and when to Akihibara after that. Gues what, after 2 ½ hours some of us not even there. I feel pity to one of the instructor, because she needs to wait for them sitting near the entrance with people looking at us. Then the last 2 person finally come and without saying sorry to use and has the nerve to say they did not want to go to Disneyland. What the hell, if they doesn’t want to go , whay didn’t said earlier, we’ve wouldn’t wait there like orang bodoh and can go there earlier. I was so furious that I didn’t talk to them the whole trip in the Japan. One of them knows how much Disneyland Trip meant to me as I was cannot stop talking about it since the day we found out we all can go to Japan together. Well I guess, it doesn’t mean anything to her about my dreams then. Until now they did n’t said sorry to me. I still mad at them.
Then only four of us went there. When we get to Tokyo station , it sooo big, bigger than KL sentral. To go to Keiyo line is quite far and when we get there, we have to wait some more. Until one hour the train still not arrive. My feet cannot hold on anymore so me and Kak Naz decided to sit in the line while other Japanese looking at us. We didn’t care although we wondering why they can still standing after one hour even the old one. We feel no shame in ourselves. Then we heard this annoucement in Japanese and suddenly all the people went to wait other side, we of courde joined them without knowing what is all about. It’s quite funny when thinking about it.
Finally after two haours waiting the train is here. Unfortunately we cannot get a seat so for almost 40 minutes, we stand in the train. As this train doesn’t have English translation, so we must really hear which station is it. Then we arrived at Maihama station near 6.30pm but it’s already dark like 8pm or something. The first thing we do of course to find a place to sit as our feet are killing us. Although it is quite rainy and it is sooo coool beyond anything I ever feel, we still smiling when we saw the disneyland signage.
The ticket suppose to me 5200 yen but at 6.30pm it becomes 3100. Well, more money to spend on shopping. When we get there, of course the picture time. Then we take the “Cup ride” it soooo fun and only 4 of us screaming like crazy girls that we are. Then we went around the Adventureland and we saw all the people sitting on the grass. We said why they have picnic in the middle of the road then we found out there’s a parade then we quickly find ourselves a place to sit.
The parade was everything that I’ve dream of. It was magical and exciting. I really feel like want to cry , like my inner child long dreams were fulfilled eventhough it was not Disneyland in Florida. We scream a lot especially when the prince charming carousel comes in. It was the best thing ever happen to me and it worth it waiting for the train for so long.
Then we went to shopping. Of course it was not cheap either. I think I spend more than 3000 yen at the giftshop. Of couse you have come a long way to go here, must buy something for souvier. If not like you never ever been here at all. Then in the middle of shopping, there’s a fireworks show outside so we when out left our basket inside the giftshops to see it. After it’s complete come back or shop again.
That’s is one of my favourite memories that I will not forget forever. At least one of my dreams come true!
