Europe Trip Update 18: End of great adventures.....

So, how was your weekend? So are you looking forward to go to work tomorrow? Am I annoying you enough?

So today is the last day of my terrific journey. Supposedly, my flight would be around 3.20pm but the Qatar representative has called me (before the trip) to inform that the flight has been cancelled. So, I have to take 8pm flight instead, so more time for shopping wohoo....

So I decided to go to Bayswater for some more souvenirs and to have lunch. So I took the train there and manage to go walk near the Malaysian Hall and it is very quiet. So, I decided to go to Noodle Oodle(or the other way around?) to try their famous halal duck. So when I get there, surely enough, a lot of Malaysian. Then I ordered the duck and teh tarik. Yap miss teh tarik already. The duck dishes are good for someone who rarely eat duck before. Then went to shop there to buy souvenirs and then heading back home for packing.

Later around 4pm, I went down to Paddington Station and took Heathrow Connect to Terminal 4. It is around 30pm and after stopping at Terminal 3, you have to take another train to Terminal 4. In the train, again, a gentleman help me to put my bag in the train storage, I told him, it is quite heavy, but he just smile. Then I met a Malaysian student, I must admit at first I though she was from Philippine or something and she assured me that we are going to Terminal 4. She took 1 year leave to study Master at King's College and she was working with Intel. Now, she has completed her Master and continue to work in Intel, Penang. We chat a little bit and she said it is actually not fun studying there as you have no time to go travel actually, I was like, really? Hmmm...Yeah, she also took the loan with Mara, but you need to have an offer first before applying for the loan. I make mental note on that.

So, after arriving in Terminal 4, then I straight up went to VAT Office to claim for the VAT. So, the office is in Level 2, and the line and dreadful. For those who has more than 5 claims will be in a long line, while I was in kind of shorter line. After that, the staff just announce who want to get claim back by credit card, they just need to submit the form to them, so I just submitted to them. By the way I just got another claim bank in through my credit card last week, so another 2 more claims for me. Hopefully, soon.

Then I went to check in my luggage, you wouldn't believe how many luggage I have, I'm quite shocked also. I posted a photo below for you to see by yourself. So, my flight is delayed up to 10pm. 2 hours late and I have another connecting flight in Doha...but the staff assured that we will be well taken care off. So, the limit for Qatar is 20kg, but mind is 27 kg, and he just let it off. Hehe, lucky me.

Actually, I have one more shopping to do, for me, so I straight off when to Cath Kidston. I just buy a purse for myself and more lotions, soaps and other thins for my, families and friends. Then I went to Harrods, to buy a handbag for my mother and some jams as souvenir. Then I just went to get some coffee and looking at the busy aeroplanes coming in and out of the airport.

So, when we reach Doha, it were quickly transferred to the departure Terminal and the plane is waiting for us. Poor those people who has to wait for us, but hey, it is not our fault. So I just watch more movies as I just can't asleep because I just keep thinking, I have realized my dream trip, so now what? I just can't believe that I have been to Europe, by myself just to fulfill my dream. I am just so happy.

So I arrived at KLIA around 9pm and took ERL back to KL Sentral and took taxi home. You will think I will rest, but no, I just found out that I need to submit online quiz which supposed to submit yesterday, so here I am up until 3pm to so the quiz and submit it, because the internet line is somehow manage to screw me up. So, after complete all, I just went to sleep for the whole day and to tell you the truth, I'm having jet lagged for a week, I just become so stupid (literally) at work as forgot to do a  lot of thing and forgot to bring important document while outstation. It never happen before. So it is true people said, when you come back from holiday, your IQ dropped 20%, ok mine might be more than 30%.

So next update is more on what I have learned from the trips and can't wait to show you my postcards and colourful stamps...see you soon!

Europe Trip Update 17: Meeting old friend and Dinosaurs...

So, my class is already started. It is my last semester and I can't wait to complete it....So let’s continue...

So today after FB a lot of messaging, so I have confirmed to meet my ex colleague who is in the London at that time. She is actually following her British boyfriend to see the parents and to do some English teaching course. So we agree to meet at Victoria Station around 9am.

So here I am, after one hour she was still not here. I've been scrambling around to find free internet so I can send her FB messenge but still no avail. So I was just thinking may be at another Victoria Station, the bus station. I just walk around the corner and I heard some somebody is calling my name. So we have misunderstanding of which Victoria Station we need to meet. She is also almost give-up and plan to leave after she saw me. So we just went to the Starbucks and chat a little bit before going to Buckingham Palace.

It was so many people there and literally, I can only see their shoulders or armpit because they are all tall. Just manage to see a little bit of the changing ceremony and took some pictures. After that we walking to Natural History Museum. So the museum is free and looks like the background for the "Night in Museum" movie. So, here I am for the first time to see a real dinosaurs fossils and just look surreal. Then we went around to to look more fossils and it was fascinating.

Then we want to go to another museum, which has mummy or ancient history and we went to Albert and Victoria museum, it is a great museum with statues, jewelries and clothes but no mummy. Then, we meet with my friend's boyfriend and he told us it supposed to be in British Museum. So, it is ok, so we decided to go to Piccadilly Circus instead.

So we went there by train to see what is the place is all about. My friend has never been there so when we reach there and she just asking her boyfriend, so what is the place is all about? As it just got statue there and a lot of people hang out around it. We just don't get it. Then we walk to the Trafalgar Square and saw Malaysian flag from the Tourism Office and we just so proud.

So we decided to go to Harrods and I was just so awe of the classy or luxury of the mall. Everything there is not in my league. I didn't buy anything there and then we part our ways with my friend. It just so good to see her again after so many years.

Then I decided to go to Oxford Street again and heading to Primarks. In there, I shop like crazy because it just so in my league and cheap. I bought baby clothes for my niece and upcoming niece/nephew ( it is niece by the way) and some toys. I also bought some clothes for myself hehe.

So after a good walking form museums to malls, it is time for me to heading home because my hand cannot hold anymore shopping bags anymore. So tomorrow it is time to say bye to London. Need to do a lot of packing tonight. I wish I didn't buy so many things.

Next update is more on things that I learned from this trip and say goodbye to my "dream comes true" trip.

Europe Trip Update Part 16: Stamford Bridge and Eye of London

Happy Malaysia Day everyone....so how was your long weekend? Ok, let's continue....

So today I would call "late day". I woke up late and have no breakfast. Then I take a train to Fulham Broadway on District line. Quite far from Paddington, around 30 minutes. So, when arrived there, quite lost but luckily got signboard and to walk there is about 10 minutes and there I saw the stadium. It was not as big as I thought it would be. Well, I never a football fan anywhere and the only reason I went there is because I want to buy jerseys for my father and brother. My father is a huge fan of Chelsea FC. He told me to get the midfielder which I don't who are they. Well better ask the staff in the shop later.

The shop is just in front of the stadium and it was quite big and very blue. It has 2 levels and the jerseys are on the second level. The price well, I just close my eyes because they are for the men in my life. So, I ask one of the staff, a girl who is the midfielder of the team and she is also not sure and bring me o the board of the players with name and their position of the team. So I pick Mata and Luiz and for my brother I bought him Torres and the other guy i can't remember. I also bought my self a car sticker..just cause, I mean I was there might as well prove it, right....After paying, went to the service counter to get the form for VAT claim, well until know I still have not got it...it is quite a lot...seriously...

Actually, I found out that there is Cath Kidston store there, so I walked around to find it but no avail so decided to go to hotel instead and get some lunch. After that, I think I fall asleep and again late for my river cruise and eye of london visit which I bought the ticket online for about 25.7 pound. It is a combine ticket that you can buy from Eye of London website. So, I was running a little bit and then when I arrived at Waterloo station and have to line to get the printed ticket and left 5 minutes before the river cruise started. So, luckily manage to get in time and went up to the deck. It has great view and the best river cruise between in Paris and Amsterdam. Then I saw it, the Big Ben and Westminster building and I feel it just the most beautiful building I've ever seen. So, here I am in London. I just realized that now that I'm in London, the place that I always saw in movies, text books and everyone talk about. I am here. I also manage to see the London bridge, which is not quite I think it is before and Tower Bridge it just beautiful and splendid.

It just surreal and I just feel so proud of myself. Then after around 45 minutes I guess, I decided to go to the 4D Experient first and it was quite good and you can go how many times you want to. Before deciding to buy the ticket, I already had in mind that I want to ride the London Eye during sunset, so I decided the get in around 8pm, which is around sunset there. So, inside it, the capsule is quite spacious and you can see all around. I manage to get few shots with Big Ben background and I just love it. So from above, I just can see the bridge where One Direction shot their "One Thing" video . It is the bridge that I cross from tube station to go to the London Eye.

So, when it is over, I just walk along the south bank and it just so...I don't know, I just feel so happy and hope to be able to remember to memories forever. So when it is time to go back, I just walk along the Westminster Bridge (the One Thing video) and saw the Big Ben becomes closer and closer....I remember the day the most and it will always be in my memory forever....

So for next update, I'm meeting ex-colleague and we went around shopping.....stay tune!
