My 5 year service award

Saturday night, the office organized the annual dinner at The Westin. Well, first place the hotel is in the middle of town, and it's sturday noght, well you do the math. Lulily, I'm not driving. Kesian Mek tod, dahla terlepas simpang, kena pusing lagi sekali. The dinner, well, ..............................? the theme is Oscar night. Well I went as a guy, maybe because to save budget and nobody said that I have to dress as a woman. But I'm so looking forward to receive my 5 years service award. It's mean I will get money na the plaque!!!!

How I've got the job

5 years, so what does it mean? I still remember when I apply the job after finish the final exam. Seriously, I don't want to continue study. I bought the star or NST, I can't remember, copy the e-mail address and went to CC near my house and just blindly send my resume. So the day was on Saturday where I already bought my bus ticket to balik kampung( before raya) for tomorrow. I'm on the way to KLCC to watch the first "Harry Potter" movie. I'm in the bus when I've got the call from my friend's phone, that somebody called me regarding job interview. So when I get back, I called the number and it was Ms. Soo asked me to come for interview on Monday. So, I need to burn my bus ticket. The office in Kelana Jaya, but I still can't remeber what positon and worst what company is it. Luckily my housemate knows the building. Went I reached the office, I still can't remember what position I'm apllying so when she asked me to fill the form, I stuck in that column, luckily she said to me it's DAta Entry Clerk. Well the interview went smoothly, I guess ( if not, well I'm not here). When she asked me that the job will be boring because I need to sit in fron of computer all day long, basically I just said fine with it, I love computer. then, went I went back, I have the feelings that I will get the job. Sure enough when I get back home, I recieved the call for second interview. So when I got to my hometown for the Raya that year, I know when I comeback next year, I already have a job. I am greatful because, it's my first interview and I don't have to run all over the town to find a job.

My first Anuual Dinner

The dinner was held in Bandar Sri Damansara Club. It was Chinese dinner with 13 courses. Well, that time we have lucky draw and I've got a "Steam Iron" which is the one that I need most. I still commute between shah Alam and Kelana Jaya with 1 taxi from my home to the bus stop. 1 bus from the highway to Kelana jaya and 1 feeder bus to the office and I still need to walk and using bridge to the office. When I go home, to save money, I need to take bus until all the way to Klang and wait until 8.30pm to get bus to Section 7, Shah alam. Then in the dinner we play the" scissors and paper game" where all of us( about 15 ) were given RM 10 each and we need to compete with aothers. I f we won't we can take the others money. Well guess what, I've won. I've got RM 150 cash on that night. I don't know that I raelli good in this game or the others sucks. This is my first time also see other people drunks and babling nonsense. I't quite an experience.

I think I've change and grow through all this 5 years ( mentally and physically). From the youngest staff in the office 5 years ago to the not so young staff now. From Data Entry Clerk to FD Admin to FDC.I'm very greatful and happy here. I manage to surround me with all the good people, great friendships, a lot of opportunity to visit other countries whether for business or just for fun. This is my "cheese". Will I stay another 5 years, well time will tell.

Hope that is not too late to write about my new year resolution.

2008 Resolutions

1. Too loose some weights- really , I need to do some drastic measure in food and excercise. Hopefully to lose 1 kg per week.

2. To save a lot of money- seriously I need to be not to spending my money.

Well just some thoughts I gathered during my long holidays.

Britney Spears - falls from grace. I still remember when the first time , I heards her song, (I thought she was black singer). She is so sweet and innocence. Well, I stop pay her attention when she come out with the sexy music video, 'I'm a slave for you". I thought that is not classy enough and too much revealing. Frankly, I'm quite happy when Justin dumoped her. I wonder how can she lived with all the papparazzi following her around.

Video game championship - I flipped the channel and stop at Channel V when I saw the somekind of video game championship. what struck me the most was the was a commentator in the game. They show the players play the game and really like comment that we've heard when watching football. Well, nowadays vplaying video games is a sport, because last time I check , it just for geek. Who knows!

E! Channel - Well, seriously , I hook-up with the this channel now. My favourite segment of course E! News and E! True Hollywood Story( THS). (How else I know about Britney Spears and stuff. She is everyday in the E! News). Yesterday I watched the THS of Will Smith. It tells about his story for early childhood until now.I thought Will is short for William, but his is Williard. He is actualy a great student but choose to become an artist instead. Well, it is not a bad choice.

Extra School fee - I really fed-up about this. It just RM 5 extra get over it. why these parents compplain so much about this. Why can't you pay extra for your own kids education? It is not matter to you when the ciggarettes price become more pricey? ) by the way it's more than RM 5) or to buy more jewellery or arcopal set. It's not enough now you don't have to pay for textbook, you still not want to pay more. It's like Malay says " Dah bagi betis, nak paha" (well that is utara slang anyway).It is worth it if you can pay extra with all the problems that the teachers will face later with your child attidude or from you. My motto is, if you can subscribe to Astro, you can pay the schooll fee.

On Saturday, me and half of the gang went to Cineleisure to watch movie "Enchanted". my first impression? well it is a Disney movie so it good to have a feel good time and laughter. Well this movie blow my mind away, it is what I've predicted but so much more. my favoureite character, It's the princess itself, Giselle and the prince. Amy Adams played the the role amazingly. How perky and innocent she is.She is know one of my favourite actress. The prince, James Marsden, I mean wow, I never know a handsome guy can plyaed such comedic role perfectly, seriously. He played a prince like we always see in the disney cartoon, such heroic and so full of himself. I'm not a fan of "Grey anatomy" but Patrick Dempsey is quite ok.

2. When Prince Edward talks to magic mirror. seriously I can watch this over and over again.

3. Pip the chimpmunk, when he does the pantomine. I mean he is soooo cute.

4. Like Hindustan movie where everybody can sing and dance the same song.

5. When the first time Gisele come out from the hole.

6. When Gisel and her "friends" cleaning up the apartment.

I think that all I have to write, I don't want to spoil for those who want to watch the movie.(^_^)

Konon, bulan posa ni nak diet giler, well so far what i can say that actually i'm not doing so bad. Aku loose some kgs and inches in my stomach area. so dah berazam dah ni, masa raya ni musti makan sikit sikit je. So balik rumah pak long aku waktu ari jumaat. Pehtu sepupu aku ajak pergi Ipoh nak beli kasut, aku ikut jugakla sebab aku pun memang nak cari kasut raya gak. Banyak tempat jugakla kitaorang perg sampai ke Greentown Mall dah masa nak bukak posa, tapi food court dia penuh, so beli air dulu then anak-anak sepupu aku nak makan KFC plak. Sudah, takkan dah nak hancur diet ni? agh tak pela ni baru first time dalam sebulan ni aku makan KFC. Pergi KFC, mak aii haram tak sedap pun tapi licin, lapar punya pasal. Tak pe esok musti makan sikit aja.

Pagi raya, diorang semua melantak lontong sebagai sarapan. Aku pun mulala amik piring kecik aja. Bubuhla lontong tu dalam 5 ketul kot. Ada 3 jenis kuah, satu masak lemak( hmm ada santan, takleh kot) ada kuah kacang( ni kalau campur kuah lemak mesti best ni) dan satu lagi rendang ayan( begitu menggoda). Think Syahira think, apa yang patut ko lakukan.Last-last amik kuah kacang dan kuah lemak. (satu piring kecik, tak pe kot). Sedapnya hingga menjilat jari. Pehtu dah nak pergi basuh piring pehtu mak long tanya " Makan banyak tu saja ko?Kau sakit perut ko?( dalam loghat Rawa)."Mana ado mak long" " Habis tu amik la laie" ok amik la lagi dalam 5 ketul. Aik takkan nak amik kuah yang sama lagi. Hmm amik kuah rendang ayam. Tak cukup, amik kuah lemak. Great, hancur diet ku ari ni. ( Selepas itu, piring yang sama digunakan untuk makan tengahari,lontong, minum petang, lontong dan makan malam, ye tak lain tak bukan lontong, siap tambah tiga-tiga kuah lagi, Sedap)

Raya kedua - Pergi makan kat rumah Atam-lontong, bukan tapi masih menggunakan bahan yang sama, tapi kuahnya, kuah sup so lalu dipanggil soto. Tambah dua pinggan. Apa yang dipikirkan masa ni? Sedapnya soto, pasal diet? tak terpikir langsung. So sejak dari hari tu cik Syahira tak lagi memikirkan pasal diet. Ok dia pikir, balik KL ni musti berdiet balik. So to be continued.....

Akhirnya bulan pusa datang lagi...

Seriously aku suka bulan posa. dulu teringat masa kat SSMJ, memang best giler masa tu. Kitaorang tunggu beramai-ramai nak buka posa sambil dengar radio. Ada satu iklan tu tak tau iklan apa dialog dia memang famous, "Selamat berbuka posa dan hari raya no" dalam loghat utara. Pehtu menngunakan Maijas untuk mengambil makanan tengahari bagi orang tak leh posa. Lepas tu waktu petang siap di sediakan bas nak pergi beli makanan kat pasar jam besar. Makanan paling mewah yong tau foola. Yang pergi tu ikut giliran tak salah aku by kelas kot. So, kita kena pesan kat sapa-sapa yang pi masa tu.Sapa yang larat sikit pergi jalan ke taman ria.

Kala masa kat ITM plak, beli makanan kat seksyen 2, pehtu makan kat beramai-ramai kat dorm. Rasanya lebih banyak habiskan duit nak beli makanan masa bulan posa, walaupun kononnya nak berjimat. Masa tinggal kat seksyen 7 plak, masa tu tak mewah sangat, maklumla dah tak dapat PTPTN dan kerja part -time. Setiap makan dibeli boleh di makan sampai waktu sahur.

Aku memang payah nak miss waktu sahur. Walaupun sedap tidur tapi fikirkan waktu siang kena kerja so memang takleh miss. Sekurang-kurangnya makan roti pun takpa. Tapi pernak jugak ter miss satu dua hari. Paling best berbuka posa kat rumahla, tapi paling dekat sekarang ni kat umah mak long. Baju raya dah tempah kat sana jugak. Murah sikit. Sekarang ni nak beli baju untuk family je. So, kepada semua yang baca blog saya ni (ada ke?) selamat berposa ok.

Words

Memang betul seperti apa yang orang tua-tua cakap, " Mata pena lebih tajam daripada mata pedang" . Sometimes words that coming out of the mouth, although we did not mean it or we did or nid not realized they will hurt or make somebody. They will change your life temporarily or forever.

Here are the example of them:

1. "Maybe depa nak kami lebih bersemangat sikit" - I've said to one of my close friend when she said that the volleyball team is still looking for player for PPM ( Piala Perdana Menteri). actually I have been chosen for the team. I didn't mean what I've said but she feel hurt that means that she did not good enough to join the team

2. "Dua-dua pun boleh fail?"- I failed my first driving license exam. yep both "bukit" and "jalan raya". Yeah I already feel bad about it then this "orang tua" mana tah like suoervisor said like that to me when I went to him to take my slip. I almost cry because yes, I failed both but you don't have to say it.

3. " Ala.. tak semua orang lulus sekali ambik ja" - well luckily this words come out of my father mouth after that. You don't know how good does it feels when my father said that. Although I'm still hurt,embaressed and angry, but stills I'm feel at least someone who understand me. ( although it took me one month to recover myself and took another test, which I passed, wohooo.)

4. "Dah ada kereta kelisa, nak tengok ke?" - Well that evening i went to my ex-colleagues second hand car dealer( actually his brothers') because i did said to him that I'm THINKING I want to buy a car. I'm THINKING only, I'm not that serious. But what the hell I just went they to see it. But when the first time I lay my eyes on that gold kelisa, I did fell in love. I don't know what it is but it seems right and don't want to let go it. I said yes already althought at the back of my mind I'm thinking, how the hell I'm going to pay for it. Luckily Imanage to get full loan, and the car is mine. I named it"Chi·qui·ta"

a female given name: from a Spanish word meaning “small.”


Well , I think after that my luck begin to change where I finally began to do more and more outside job and finally become of what I'm doing now. My car is like my main "sumber rezeki". ( that's why I'm pissed of when my aut crash my car, but that is another story). Syukur that until now, there is no major "kerosakan" although it is a second hand car. I love you chiquita.

5. " You look beautiful" - Ok this happen recently in my trip to Seremban. this most cutest, beautiful 6 years old girl 9 mix parentage his father is Australian and mother is Chinese) said that to me. At first I didn't hear it, then I said ha? then she said it again. Well, I did expert to hear it from other counterpart but I did not expect to hear it from the most cutest girl I've seen. I mean it supposed to be me saying that to her. well kid did say the darnest things, aren't they?

Back then....

Just to resfresh my memories what were I thinking when I was a young and naive ( still ) girl.

1. I though that the earth is Malaysia punya, meaning other countries have their own plant -( maybe I watch too much "The Jetsons" cartoon)

2. I thought that we can buy baby from hospital. Yes, that is what my father told me when I asked where my baby brother come from. But I always suspect it was not true. It confirm when when I study Science subject in Form 3, chapter 1.

3. When we go to other state we need passport. Seriously I believe it until I was in standard 3.

4. I was puzzle how can Mariah Carey could sing lead and back-up at the same time, this is when I saw her in "Fantasy" music video when she lipsync both lead and back-up parts.At first, I thought that maybe they are back-up singers sound like her until i learn about recording studio, mixing sounds. But it really puzzle me.

5. I have my own e-mail when I was in 1st year of university. Back then, I don't know how e-mails and internet look like.

6. I thought "Dutchlady" ( milks) is the name of the girl on the milk.

7. I thought that "orang dulu-dulu" is not colourful at all( from P. Ramlee black and white films).

8. I thought that sardine is the the name of fishes inside the tin.

9. I thought that there is a job of " stamping money" or in Malay" tukang cop duit" because my mom always said that " You thought your father kerja cop duit ke?"

10. I thought that bad things will never happen to me, well, that is my biggest mistake.
